"Everyone wants to shoot you down when you are successful. You need to have the character to take that on board and fight back. That is the challenge. You learn from it and it is what being part of this club is all about. You get used to and respond to it. When you are young and naive it can affect you. But I had very experienced players around me when I first broke through who pointed out the reality of it. The older ones like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville told me not to worry about it because they'd experienced it and you get through it."

Frank Lampard angående hur Ancelotti hanterade Chelseas sångtradition:

"To be fair to him he got up straight away but I can’t remember what he sang. Even when his wife came to say hello to him at a Champions League hotel, he got her up on a chair and singing in front of the lads – so fair play to him! She sang an Italian song – and was quite good actually. I think she was up for ten minutes!"

Jamie Carragher angående gårdagens tunga förlust i FA-cupen:

"It was a very bad night for Liverpool and we can’t disguise that – we had to do more against a side from a lower league. We have to apologise for the way we performed. We have to give credit to Reading, hold our hands up. We all like to win but when you don’t, you have to be a good loser. We have to accept they deserved it. But, at the same time, we have got to look at ourselves and the way we performed was not acceptable."
